What Information We Collect
Non-Personally Identifiable Information
We think RightTurn.com is pretty great. (We hope you do too.) But we didn‘t just guess a whole bunch of times to get to where we are today. We use our customers‘ non-personal information to personalize and continuously improve the design, content, and overall user experience of our Site. And that‘s how we will use your non-personal information. It enables us to uniquely tailor your experience with the Site. We will also use this non-personal information to analyze Site usage and for other marketing purposes.
We collect generic information-non-personal information-from visitors to the Site including the number of visitors, the frequency of visits, the pages that are used most frequently, and how often certain functions of the Site are used. We use these statistics so that we can continuously improve your experience with the Site and make the Site as user-friendly as possible. For instance, with this generic information, we might learn that the "help" feature is clicked more often on a particular page than on other pages. That tells us that we need to improve that particular page.
There are also other ways we collect information about your user experience in order to improve the overall performance of the Site and the experience of our customers. Those may include but are not limited to pop-up surveys, feedback forms, or other methods as you use the Site.
Cookies (not the delicious, fresh-out-of-the-oven type)
When you download or use apps created by us, we may receive information about your location, your mobile device, including your device‘s unique identifier. Just like with cookies, this is for your benefit. We may use this information to provide you with location-based services, such as locating the nearest tire installation specialist. If you don‘t like the idea of sending us your location information, your mobile device should have an option to turn off location-based services.
Do Not Track
You also have the choice to enable "do not track" settings on your browser. While we constantly strive to match the rapid pace of technological advancement, at this point, our Site does not take any action based on these browser settings.
It‘s a Party, A Third Party
See the Cookies section above regarding third-party cookies.
Personally Identifiable Information
Here‘s some more good news. You can access some areas of the Site without submitting any Personal Information. You choose whether to provide us with Personal Information.
If you elect to make a purchase on the Site, we will need to collect some Personal Information so that we can complete your order. This information may include but is not limited to your name, physical address, email address, phone number, driving habits, the make/model of your vehicle, and the type and measurements of your vehicle‘s tires. We need all of this to make sure that we get you the right tires.
We know that the web can be a scary place to make purchases. We‘ve taken measures to secure our Site, particularly during the purchasing stages. While placing your order you will be redirected to a secured website hosted by one of the web‘s leading providers of payment management services to input your credit card information. The secured website will be maintained in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards, which includes the use of encryption for transmission of order information. Because we use a third-party provider for payment processing, we never store your credit card or other payment information. Ever.
Let‘s face it. There are people out there trying to access to your Personal Information. We use reasonable physical, technological, and administrative procedures to protect all Personal Information we collect through the Site. Nevertheless, Internet transmissions are never completely private or secure and, as such, you understand that any messages or information you send to this Site may be read or intercepted by others.
How We Use Your Personal Information
If you purchase goods and/or request service from the Site, we will share your Personal Information with entities such as the dealership where your tires are being installed ("Dealership") that will perform functions for or on our behalf. That way, when you show up for your installation and/or service appointment, you will get the quality, personalized service that you expect and deserve.
The Bottom Line
Other than sharing Personal Information with your Dealership or if we are required by law to do so, we do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise distribute your Personal Information to any third party. That‘s a relief, isn‘t it?
About that "required by law" part.
In certain circumstances we may be required by law to disclose Personal Information in response to legal proceedings such as a court order or a subpoena. We may also disclose such Personal Information to law enforcement agencies in response to a law enforcement agency‘s request involving fraud or other illegal activities. All of this is meant to protect you and your Personal Information.
